At the indicated time, we'll meet at the selected meeting point and make our way to the outskirts of Oporto where the buggies will be waiting for us. Then it'll be time to hop on the vehicles and let the fun begin! We'll even go through some sections of the Portugal Rally.
Over the course of the tour, we'll cross a green landscape full of vineyards and valleys until we reach the Castro de Monte Mozinho, a fortified enclave dating back to the Neolithic period, also known as the "City of the Dead".
After learning about the history of the archaeological site we'll return to the starting point, where we'll arrive 3 hours later.
Schedule & Meeting Points
When booking, you'll be able to choose the meeting point where you prefer to start the tour. You should also take into account the following times:
- Rua das Agras, 40, Baltar: please arrive at this point at 9:30 am if you selected the 10 am tour, or at 2:30 pm if you selected the 3 pm tour. No extra charge.
- Largo Dom Luís, in Vila Nova de Gaia: please arrive at this point at 8.40 am if you choose the 10 am tour, or at 1.40 pm if you choose the 3 pm tour. To enjoy this pickup option, there will be an additional charge of € 10 (US$ 10.80) per person on the day of the activity.
- Calçada de Vandoma, next to Porto Cathedral: please arrive at this point at 8:55 am, if you selected the 10 am tour, or at 1:55 pm if you choose the 3 pm tour. To enjoy this pickup option, there will be an additional charge of € 10 (US$ 10.80) per person on the day of the activity.
Buggy Capacity
Each vehicle has a maximum capacity of 1 driver and 1 passenger.
Requirements
In order to drive the buggies, you must be over 18 years of age and have a valid type B driving licence. The occupants of the buggy may take turns driving the vehicle if they meet the necessary requirements to be able to drive the buggy.
In addition, the minimum age to be a passenger in the buggy is 6 years old, and passengers must measure at least 1.2 metres (3.9 feet).
